OTR Exposure Houston Fall Shootout Prospects

We’re going to start diving into more of the prospect side of things, as the discussion of “Prospect vs Player” increases. The OTR Exposure Houston Fall Shootout had several prospects that stood out.

‘26 PG Jachai Cantave (Atascocita HS)
– I love how much of a leader he is already as a freshman. So much poise and pace in his game. Floor general. Scored double digits and averaged 6 assists for the weekend. Is right at the top of the list for the 2026 class.

25 PG 5’10 Montana Wheeler (Houston Christian HS)– Arguably had the best performance of the event with a big game vs Eisenhower including 27 points & a handful of assists. Picks teams apart with his decision making and shooting ability, feel and IQ. One of the best young PG’s in the country.

‘24 PG 6’3 Divine Ugo- (Clements HS)
– So much talent. Can do everything. High level ball handler, scorer, and shot maker. Will have a big jump in production and leadership this year. Clements will only go as far as he takes them. One of the top prospects in the 2024 class in the state of Texas. Is severely undervalued right now.

‘24 PG 6’7 Devon Pryor- (PSAT)
– Another incredibly gifted prospect. The way he makes the reads in P&R at 6’7 will have college coaches salivating. Rebounds the ball exceptionally well from the guard spot. His athleticism was also on full display. Had a 16 point 11 assist game.

‘25 G 6’2 Jason Scott (Westbury Christian)– Thrived in transition, big guard, who plays hard and can score it. Also rebounds the ball on both ends of the floor. Plays the passing lanes for easy steals and buckets.

‘23 G 6’4 Keylon Dorsey (Eisenhower HS)
– High flying guard that played well, very capable defender. Love the way he attacks the rim. Very good athlete. Has shown the ability to score in bunches. Bonafide MM guard. Had games of 23 and 25 in the event.

‘23 G 6’4 Larry Lyons (Dawson HS)
– Athletic guard burst on the scene in the event with several spectacular finishes! A terror in transition and defended multiple positions. Played two very good games against PSAT & Legacy School, helping Dawson go 2-0.

‘23 G 6’3 Jaxon Olvera- (New Caney HS)
– Dropped a 40 ball knocking down five 3’s in the last game of the event. Knows how to play, very capable shooter & can crate for himself and others. More of a scoring guard than a combo. Talented offensively.

‘25 G 6’5 Bryson Wheatfall (St. Pius X)
– Big guard who’s tough to defend when he gets downhill. Drew quite a few fouls and is so comfortable now being the lead guard. Scored 19 points in a variety of ways, including knocking down 3 threes. Turning the corner as a player, will have a big season.

‘24 G 6’4 Cam Patterson (Summer Creek HS)– Has continued to show me that he can score in bunches. Loves to get to his pull up. His length allows him to get to get to certain spots on the floor and shoot over the top of defenders.

‘23 G 6’1 Corey Hadnot (Cy Creek HS)
– Purdue Fort Wayne commit once again had a good showing. When he decides he wants to be aggressive and out his stamp on a game, he’s a much different player. Has a good handle, understand when he needs to get his and when his teammates need a “touch”.

‘24 G 6’3 Khalil Adam-Elbatrawy (Dickinson HS)
– One of the most intriguing players in the event. Athletic, has a really good handle, good size for the position. Very tough to stay in front of, has enough wiggle to get by anyone. Has feel and vision. One to keep an eye on.

‘25 6’8 F Logan Menefee (Ridge Point HS)– Long stretch 4 that can really shoot it from 3. I like his size, and versatility. Really good at spacing the floor. Interesting to see how he progresses.

‘23 6’9 Michael Oaks (St. Thomas HS)– This kid really has grown on me. He’s taken a big leap from last year in his development. Love his motor and shot blocking ability. Understand who he is and his role. Rebounds in traffic, and plays tough. Interesting to see where he’ll be in a couple of years and big kids tend to develop at a slower pace.

‘25 G 6’3 Dorian Hayes (Ridge Point HS)
– Starting to make reads in P&R, and create for himself. Has improved his handle and quickness, secondary ball handler. Really good shooter off of the bounce. Gradually getting better.
