2025 Houston Live Finale Standouts

Houston, TX-

The class of 2025 is a special one in Texas, and they showed out this weekend at the Houston Live Finale. Here were some of the standouts.

Sebastian Williams-Adams- (St. Johns)- Has become such a complete player. Added a consistent three ball to his repertoire. Has polish, instincts and IQ to go along with his physical gifts. Finishes around and through defenders, this weekend showed why he’s a top 25 national prospect.

John Clark- (Klein Cain HS) –
One of the fastest rising players in the country. Rebounds outside of his area, plays with tenacity, athletic, & has an array of finishes around the basket. A double double machine. Showed off his athleticism with several highlight dunks. One of the best rising juniors in America. Special talent.

Shelton Henderson (Bellaire HS)– When he’s aggressive offensively there’s no one who can stop him. Used his strength to score over the top of smaller guards and showed his range knocking in several perimeter jumpers for JL3 on Saturday. Another national prospect in the 2025 class.

Kameron Newsome (Travis HS)– A real bucket getter. Averaged 18 ppg over 4 games and did it in a variety of ways. Has good size for the position, and is getting more comfortable in a leadership role. A real stock riser in the state of Texas, his recruitment will see an uptick after this weekend. (Pictured #24)

Jaylen Fenner (Atascocita HS)–  The more I watch him play, the more impressive he is. He’s going to have a breakout season in HS. Does everything at high level, he can dribble, pass and shoot, and has a mean streak about him. He also has a solid body that allows him to absorb contact and still finish plays.

Isaac Saavedra (Cy Ranch HS)– There might not have been a better performance than his game vs Cooz Elite. Hit EIGHT threes en route to 32 points in the win. Has a flamethrower! Big time shooter/scorer that oozes with confidence. I love the way he COMPETES on both ends of the floor. Will for sure be keeping an eye out for him during this season.

Ian Inman (College Park HS)– Really shot the ball well in his 1st couple of games. Has physically started to get bigger and stronger, which allows him to finish better in traffic. When he’s aggressive offensively he’s a different player.  I love his shot making and playmaking ability.

Cameron Smith (Pebblebrook HS)– Long, lanky prospect who showed off his shooting ability and his transformation into a real perimeter performer. Love his ability to attack off the bounce and get to his spots. Still growing into his body, once he adds strength will be a high level prospect.

Nigel Walls (St. Francis Episcopal HS)– Showed why he is considered an elite level rim protector. Altered and blocked so many shots. Love the way he runs the floor, and has improved his ability to rebound in traffic. Ceiling is so high, just turned 16 a couple of weeks ago. National top 50 prospect.

Tyrus Rathan-Mayes (Langham Creek HS)– Has great size for the position. Shot maker who has a great IQ and can make plays for others. Can also score from all three levels. Wasn’t 100% healthy but still was one of the leading scorers an rebounders for his team.

Michael Collins (Shadow Creek HS)– There might not be a better competitor in Texas at the HS level. Always wants to defend the other team’s best perimeter player and loves the challenge. Is very good when he can get out in transition push the pace of the game.

Christian Thomas (Seed School of Maryland)- Big, physical guard who can do a lot of everything. Rebounds the ball well and can defend multiple positions. Doesn’t take plays off. Had a big game in loss to Fam Elite, scoring 21 points to along with 10 boards.

Trae Lewis (Grand Oaks HS)– Has “walk in the gym” range. Confident scorer that can stretch the defense with his shooting ability. Athleticism has started to kick in, which allows him to make more plays in transition. Will see his recruitment take off as he puts up huge numbers in HS.

Bryson Wheatfall (Summer Creek HS)– Lead guard who can score, make reads, and rebound the ball. Has unique size and skill. When he’s assertive and locked in, he looks like one of the best players in the country at his position.
