Houston Live Finale Top Underclassmen

Houston, TX-

The 2026 & 2027 class in Houston has some unbelievable guard play and several of them stood out this weekend at the Houston Live Finale.

‘27 Christian Brown (Clear Brook HS)

Calm, cool and collected. Is becoming one of the premier point guards in the country in his class. Even in a 8am game that kicked off the event, was locked in from the start. Scored 12 points and dished out 8 assists in the win vs Houston Defenders. He plays with poise & thinks the game.

‘27 Tyson Forrest (College Park HS)

A big time combo guard that hit at least 4 threes in every game he played. Had games of 26, 23, & 24 points playing “up” a level. Strong dram allows him to finish through contact with ease. Instantly will makes his HS team better. (pictured above #3)

‘26 Austin Brown (Lufkin HS)

Has steadily improved as a shooter. Playing 16’s with JL3, he’s shown he can play with other high level players. His ability to stretch the floor already standing 6’6 is unique. A star in the making! Rebounds it well and can put it on the deck well enough to keep defenses honest.

‘26 Elijah Garrett (Beaumont Westbrook HS)

Plays the game with a love and passion and it’s infectious. Competes on every play, and has improved his three point shooting. Heady leader that gets paint touches and can make plays for himself and others. Easily showed this weekend why he’s a top 2 player in his class in the greater Houston area.

‘26 Josh Goodwin Jr (Cy Ranch HS)

Another playmaking guard with great positional size. Can score it in bunches and understands how to play. With his size and length he can become a high level two player. Scored 22 points in his last game on Sunday, knocking in 3 threes.

‘27 Alim Olajuwon (Episcopal HS)

Has a chance to be SPECIAL. Playing 17u all summer he’s put up some impressive performances and this weekend was no different. Standing 6’3 and having great “wiggle”, he’s already a mismatch problem as he can score over the top of smaller guards and get by bigger ones.
