Legacy School gets a stimulus of talent

When the government announced that American citizens would be receiving stimulus checks due to Covid-19, many of us started the “Birdman handrub” in anticipation. This past week, Legacy School head coach PJ Couisnard recived another type of stimulus, a talent level one. Unlike his hair appearance, Couisnard was on top this news, as he called me late last night to deliver the information. He informed me that two of Houston’s most talented juniors would be transferring to his school. 6’9 Ashton Smith, who already has several college offers, including Seton Hall, Syracuse, Houston, McNeese State, and more, will be leaving Nimitz HS to play for the Titans. His good friend, 6’6 Aaron Scott, who’s a top 5 prospect in Houston, will be leaving Klein Oak to join him in the Legacy front court. You can count on college coaches flocking to the school up I-45 in Spring to see this loaded group. This talent infusion will create a power shift in the greater Houston area, as Legacy will now be one of the most talented teams in the state. There may be another announcement of another top 10 2021 player joining the Titan army coming this week also. Stay tuned…
