Day 1 Christmas Crossover Standouts

The 5th year event started off with some good games and breakout performers. Here are several standouts from Day 1 of the Christmas Crossover.

‘25 PG Montana Wheeler (Houston Christian HS)– It’s starting to become redundant, but since the season has started he’s been the premier PG in Texas in a loaded class. Put on a masterful show with 30 points, 6 assists and 6 boards in a win Friday night vs Tyler.

‘23 G Tahad Davis (Good Vision Academy)– Explosive wing who scored 21 points in the opening game of the event. Thrived in transition, and got downhill anytime he wanted to attack the rim.
‘24 G Peyton Jones (Good Vision Academy)– Made his season debut and looked more complete than the last time I saw him. Smooth lefty stroke was on display and looked good in P&R. Averaged 17 PPG and 6.5 APG for the event.
‘23 6’5 Jaylen Pazon (Shaun Dumas Academy)– Athletic forward who has a big time motor & crashes the boards on both ends. Very aggressive offensively. Scored 14 points and grabbed 6 boards in a win vs BTPA.

23’ 6’3 G Asad Walker (Tyler HS)– He opened a lot of eyes this weekend with his play. Big, physical guard who’s cool, calm & collected, showed he can score the ball in a myriad of ways. Averaged 26 PPG in two games, knocked down 3’s, got to the line and consistently puts pressure on defenses.
‘24 F TK Lawson (PSAT)– Has turned the corner offensively, and his energy was infectious vs Asheville Christian. Scored a team high 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
‘24 7’2 F Trent Burns (PSAT)– One of the most intriguing prospects in the country. Has steadily improved. Changes so many shots on the defensive end, an elite rim protector. Scored 16 points in the 1st game and grabbed 11 rebounds in the 2nd game.
‘24 G Tres Luzey (Woodlands Christian)– Was on fire in the rivalry game vs John Cooper. Scored a team high 25 points including knocking down three 3’s. Really crafty scorer and helped his team go on a 20-0 run in the 4th quarter to help his team get the win.
‘25 G Nick Brashear (Woodlands Christian)– Hasn’t seen an open 3 he doesn’t like! Big time shooter who went 4-7 from beyond the arc. Got super hot during the 20-0 run, and sparked his team to the win. One of the better shooters in the 2025 class in Houston.
‘24 6’3 G Jackson Williams (John Cooper HS)– Might be the breakout performer of the Christmas Crossover. Shot the ball very well from 3. Long armed, patient scorer who has a high ceiling. Poised and I loved the way he carried himself. Scored a game high 26 points making all six of his 3’s.
