With the NCAA Live period in a few days the 2027 Best of Both World’s camp had some underrated prospects prove themselves right before college coaches will have a chance to evaluate them. Here are some of the standouts.
G Daniel Green (Shadow Creek HS)– Arguably the top performer at camp. Was really good in 2v2 full court, scoring in a variety of ways with his shifty handle. Was able to get to his mid range pull up with ease off the bounce. Look forward to him having a breakout season this year for the Sharks!

G Jason Spencer (Hilcrest HS)- Tough, defensive minded point guard who played at Hillcrest HS in AZ last season. Quick and has a nose for the ball. Sets the table for his fellow teammates on both ends of the floor. Very good end to end speed. Needs to stay aggressive offensively.

G John Joern (Cy Woods HS)– Big guard who can create separation with his size and length. Can shoot it with range, and when he gets his feet set, is a knockdown shooter. Guarded multiple positions and wasn’t afraid to mix it up. Needs to improve his confidence offensively. A better scorer than when I watched him earlier this summer.

G Trenton Meyer (Ft. Bend Christian)– Loved his energy, and the way he competed all day. Stayed engaged and communicated well defensively. In the 4v4 situational games really established himself on the offensive end and get paint touches.

G Ghaven Mittal (Concordia Lutheran)- Lanky, rangy wing who can has improved tremendously as a play maker not only for himself but for others. Right now his best attribute is shooting the ball, and once again he did that very well today. Wants to become a better defender and has shown his willingness to guard bigger and more physical players. Once he continues to add strength will improve his ability to finish through contact and take bumps.

G Will Goolsby (Second Baptist)- Has improved his ability get to the rim. Is becoming much more than just a shooter. Has feel and can make solid reads in P&R. Got comfortable playing on the ball as camp went on, hit timely shots in 5on5 play. His ability to stretch the floor is what separates him from his peers.

F Chancellor Simpson (Westfield HS)– Played with an unbelievable motor. At 6’5 he plays much bigger than he’s listed. Attacks the boards with a relentless passion. Loves to get downhill and finished at the rim well today. Runs the floor like a deer on both ends. One of the loudest players in the gym and demonstrated his leadership abilities, encouraging his teammates throughout the day.
G Joezia Cordero (Travis HS)– Crafty skilled guard that showed he can score on the ball & off. Competitive, and made the hustle plays. More athletic than I thought, as he was one of the better rebounding guards at the camp. Tough to keep in front with his quick handle and strong frame.

G Jeremiah Okapamen (Elkins HS)– Another scoring guard who is starting to learn how make proper reads and get others easy looks. Smooth operator on offense, knows how to get to his spots. Competed on both ends of the floor. Once he continues to improve his strength his game will go to even higher levels.

G Edward White III (Travis HS)– Commanded the ball and his team while on the floor and was the captain of the ship. Great passer and facilitator, also has an immense understanding on how to play the PG position. Knows when to pick his spot and picked full court defensively. Has turned the corner in his development
