SWAIC Regional Houston Session Standouts

The 2023 SWAIC Regional Houston session was very competitively played and we got a chance to see some quality players and matchups. Here are a few of the standout performers that impressed us.

2027 G Trey Pinkard (Legacy School)– The youngest player in the SWAIC! Always plays well beyond his years. Very poised and is an elite long range shooter who spaces the floor. Has an extreme basketball IQ and plays with so feel. Scored a game high 21 points vs Good Vision, knocking down FIVE 3’s.

2023 G Jayce Spann (TACA Storm)– Carried his TACA team, averaging 15 PPG, crafty CG that gets plenty of paint touches. Loved the way attacked the rim, and created scoring opportunities for his teammates.

2024 G Jacob May (Houston Home School Raiders)– Has been playing at a really good level all year, and continued during this session. Although his team was undermanned due to only having 6 players, still competed, scored 13 points and grabbed 9 boards in the game vs TACA Storm.

2025 John John Hervey (Houston Home School Raiders)– Scored 40 a couple of weeks ago! Young guard who’s fearless and extremely confident. Is starting to become a really good shooter with range. Scored 11 points vs TACA Storm.

2023 G Justin Butler (Marian HS)– Unsigned senior who can sore in bunches. Can really shoot it from 3, and has a ton of experience playing against quality competition. Scored 14 points in a win vs Good Vision, knocking down three early 3’s.

2025 G Devon Craig (iSchool)– Athletic sophomore who thrives in transition. Uses his quick hands to get steals and deflections. Got going early vs Legacy School, and he didn’t look back, scoring 13 points Good young player to keep an eye on.

2024 F Will Bailey (iSchool)– Physical forward who’s a really good finisher in the paint. Really good in transition and can shoot it out to 3. Steady contributor who scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a win vs Good Vision Academy.

2025 F Iker Martinez (Good Vision)– Young big who is starting to come around offensively. Good shot blocker and rebounder and runs the floor well. Has made tremendous strides in his ability to finish at the basket. Scored a team high 10 points vs Legacy School.
