Reviews with Rob Westfield vs Eisenhower 1/28/20

Westfield (23-3) took on Eisenhower (17-8) in a District 16 6A matcup. This game would be round 2 these two teams. Fireworks erupted from jump ball as c/o 2021 Patrick Punch started off hot. He scored on two long 3s and slashes to the basket as he finished the period with 10 points. c/o 2021 Jadyn Chaney matched him play for play. He would finish the quarter with 7 points and a couple of assists. C/o 2022 Willie Williams would handle the inside, bruising his way to 6 points. The 2nd quarter would belong to Westfield’s c/o 2020 unsigned senior Lonzo Rand. He matched Eisenhower’s point total by himself with 9. Coaches he is a prospect to check out, can shoot the 3, athletic and
defends.

C/o 2020 Van Johnson would score 5 points to help ease the pain for the Eagles. Westfield would take a 33-25 lead at the half.
The second half resembled a heavy weight fight. Every time Eisenhower did something, Westfield would answer. Rand
would hit a long 3, Williams would get a put back or Chaney would come up with a timely steal. C/o 2020 Gary Gray’s energy and c/o
2020 Terrell Norris hustle almost willed the Eagles to a victory. However, it not to be.

Down the stretch Punch missed a big 3 and Westfield hit their free throws to hang on to a 61 -58 victory. The Mustangs were led by Lonzo Rand with 19 points, Jadyn Chaney with 13 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Willie Williams added 15 points and 9 rebs. Eisenhower’s Patrick Punch had 18 points and 4 rebs, Van Johnson chipped in with 10 points and 3 assists. Lastly Gary Gray finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds.
