Reviews with Rob (George Ranch vs Alief Taylor 1/30/19)

This game was a tale of two halves, both controlled by George Ranch and their dynamic back court of unsigned seniors Noah Thomasson and Dalon Dean. The first quarter started off fast for the Longhorns as they took a 10 – 0 lead in the first four minutes. Alief Taylor fought back, led by unsigned senior Dana Barnes who scored 7 straight points to bring the Lions within three. The first quarter ended with George Ranch leading 17 – 9. The second quarter started with Dalon Dean bombing away from the three point line hitting three back to back to back threes from deep. That had the Longhorns breaking the game open and going into the half with a 35 – 19 lead. Dean scored 14 points at the half. The third and fourth quarters were controlled by the other half of the Longhorns back court Noah Thomasson as he went on to score 15 points to blow the game open and finish with 20 points. George Ranch ended up routing the Lions by a score of 61 – 44. The Longhorns were led by their back court which accounted for 42 of their 61 points. The Lions were led by Dana Barnes who scored 14 points, unsigned senior Mike Adelabu who scored 8 points and five rebounds, and Jr Blessing Adesipe who had 8 points and six rebounds. George Ranch is rounding into form and looks to be a very scary opponent to have to face during the playoffs. Alief Taylor was left on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. With a couple of games left they will be looking to win out to make the playoffs.
