OTR Exposure Unsigned Senior Series- Zaire Walker

With the second half of district play underway we are going to start to highlight several unsigned seniors in the greater Houston area who can play at the next level.

6’3 G Zaire Walker (Westbury Christian HS)

Zaire is a long, athletic guard who can play both spots in the back court. Can finish in traffic, plays with pace and uses his length defensively to disrupt an offense. Has really improved his 3 point shooting this year and has also improved his shot selection. Has had several big games this season, including a 27 point performance against Concordia Lutheran and a 43 point, 5 assist, 7 rebound game explosion vs El Campo. He’s averaging around 18ppg, 3.7 apg, 3rpg, 2stls and leads TAPPS with 90 3 pointers made on the season, shooting nearly 40%.  I watched Zaire play 3 games right after Christmas, and he definitely has his “pop’ back. He looked fluid in transition, he was able to get paint touches, and he hit timely shots. At the next level he can play on the ball or off, his length gives him advantages in guarding bigger off guards and his quickness allows him to stay in front of quicker ones. He also currently has a 3.2 GPA in the classroom. Here is a clip of his game vs Concordia Lutheran during the Private School Classic right after Christmas. https://twitter.com/4yfilms/status/1477702205595697155?s=21
