Lee Sloan Invitational Recap

The 2019 Lee Sloan Invitational was really a showcase of talented teams and players. I am humbled by the support that the event garnered. Some of the teams that really impressed were were Team Dominate 16U, Team Kemistry 16U, Texas Chaos 16U, East Houston Ballers 15U and Basketball University Gold 15U. I have also compiled an All Lee Sloan 2019 1st-3rd teams. This was a tough list to put together because there were several deserving candidates.

First Team

1. 2020 Kasen Harrison (SBG)- The Lamar commit was in his bag this weekend. Pulling double duty at the UH camp and then coming over and  killing the LSI. He scored 22 vs Basketball University in a 1 point thrilling victory. Was the best player on the floor.

2. 2021 Tyler Simon (Basketball University 17U Gold)- Really shot the ball well from 3, also showed “takeover ability”. Will make a big jump in the rankings when the 2021 list comes out.

3. 2021 Deveon Taylor (East Houston Ballers 16U)– Was cooking with the good grease this weekend. Was the talk of the event Saturday afternoon, scoring 47 points and going an insane 13-17 from three in a 15 point win vs the Raptors!

4. 2021 Elijah Lawrence (RL9 DJ)- Went to work in a high level game vs JL3 Elite. His 16, 6 and 6 stat line is only half the story. Scored and made plays in the clutch for his team, making a claim as possibly the best PG in his class.

5. 2022 Seth Jones (Basketball University 15U Gold)- Really put on a show vs the Hoops, scoring 24 points and handing out 11 assists. An ALPHA, helped his team go undefeated in three big wins!
