John Lucas Resources IMSC Part 2

The second recap of the John Lucas Resources IMSC features some of the top players in the 2023 and 2024 class.

5’5 Orlando Horton, Jr. (Kipp Sunnyside, Houston, TX)- Fierce competitor. Was hot as fish grease on Saturday from 3 point land. Great on ball defender, lightning quick and has a great feel for the game. Got to the rim at will, big time play maker.

6’2 Jaden Greathouse (Hill Country Middle School, Austin, TX)- Another member of the vaunted Houston Hoops 2023 team. Has the most high school ready body in the camp. Weighing 200 pounds, he uses his strong frame get past defenders and finish through them. Also competes at a high level.

6’4 Christian Jones (St. Lukes, Stratford, CT)- Strong lefty wing, who was a bully inside. Showed the ability to finish in traffic and through contact. Was really good in transition.

6’6 Jake Pike (Spring Branch Middle School, Houston, TX)- Long, lanky prospect who impacts the game more on the defensive end right now. Showed the ability to face the basket and attack from the mid post. Very high upside.

5’11 Addison Harmon (Reynolds, Prosper, TX)- Very heady guard who’s skilled and can play both on the ball and off. Picks his spots offensively, doesn’t force the action. Has a very complete offensive game.

6’3 Corey Kelley (Kipp Spirit College Prep, Houston, TX)- One of the best athletes at the camp, tough, physical, and plays with great intensity. Dominated the glass on both ends, when he gets downhill.. Good luck! Showed an improved perimeter game.

6’7 Jacob Hogarth (The Patrick School, Brooklyn, NY)- One of the few 7th graders that stood out. Long, athletic prospect who oozes with potential. Rebounded the ball really well, and blocked shots. Handled the ball in the half court well enough to look like he can transition to the perimeter full time one day.

6’4 Liam McNeely (Richardson North JR High, Richardson, TX)– The other 7th grader who stood out. Really high IQ, sneaky athletic. Made some nice plays in the half court, seemed a little anxious the 1st game, but got comfortable, rebounded the ball well, and showed he has a chance to be a high level guy.

6’5 Tyler Ringgold (Southern Lab, Baton Rouge, LA)- Getting a better feel offensively, grabs offensive rebounds, and uses his size advantage inside. Loved the way he challenged shots and rebounded the ball.

5’6 Joshua Moore (Kipp Spirit, Houston, TX)- Quick, crafty guard who can really stroke it from 3. Has an improved handle and is becoming a better play maker. Has quick hands defensively.
