In this week’s edition of “Furniture Moving”, 6’3 2022 guard Sam Akinrelere is transferring from Fulshear HS to Foster HS. Sam is an athletic defender with a great motor. He has a college ready body which he uses to attack the lane. He gets to the free throw line a lot, & is a solid shooter from 3, shooting it at 39% for the season. He hangs his hat on defense, usually guarding the opposing team’s best player. He was the district 12-4A defensive player of the year. He’s joining an already formidable team with the likes of fellow rising junior 6’7 Chancellor White, and Texas A&M football commit, 6’8 Rueben Fatheree. He averaged 16 ppg, to go along with 6 rpg. Expect his recruitment to soar this summer playing for the Houston Defenders.
